Codex - Leviathan Miscellany

Look, dumping stuff in the ocean gets a bad rap, but what else are we supposed to do? We learned the hard way that if you burn them and even a single micro-particle gets in your nose or whatever you go Z yourself. So, over the side they go, down to where the pressure’s so high they can’t move a muscle and the salinity will break them down safely, in like a century or so. I figure there’s at least half a million down there by now, but like whatever, they’re not going anywhere.

Marine archaeologists and the Haitian government are evaluating the Shaky Bones - the ship of Jacques Domingue, the legendary Voodoo Pirate - which was downed by a hurricane just off the coast of Tortuga. The archaeologists hope to turn the its remains into the centerpiece of an underwater museum. But their work is delayed by the increasing compulsion to consume massive quantities of rum, speak in Creole, and a mad desire to restore the Shaky Bones to seaworthiness.

Three children orphaned a young age have been seen listening to a mad philosopher. A couple hours later they passed a fisherman while having a heated debate, walking straight, without hesitation into the sea. Ever since, those with a troubled mind, diving deep enough can find 3 bearded children, one speaking truth about existence, one speaking truth about the cure-all’s recipe, one speaking lies that never let you go.
