Welcome, Georg! Not sure if you remember a VirtuaCon panel we did together, but I’m glad you’re here.

Welcome! This is a great place for all quirky, intelligent people, and I hope we can make you feel part of it, quickly and soon.
Hi Georg!
So happy to see you here, great big welcome! Just take your time settling in
absolutely! technically it was a frog, and not you, right?
thank you for the kind words!!
just learned that I’m replying to quickly, so erm, feel free to grab a Community Copy of Michtim from my itch if you like!
I should’ve put that in the original post, damn.
You’re amazing and thank you for being my friend.
Hi Georg! I’m here too, but mostly a lurker - which is something I keep promising myself I’ll fix but just haven’t yet. I’m glad you’re here too!
That’s right! Dr Tom was in front of the camera and I was behind the scenes.
Hey Georg! Welcome, and we’re happy to have you! The forums can certainly be overwhelming, but don’t feel like you need to take it all in. Find topics that interest you, ask questions if things are unclear, and share the fun things you’re playing, reading, or working on!
Hi, Georg! It’s great to see you here, and I’m glad you said hi!
I’m sure you’ll find the Gauntlet Community a place that welcomes your contribution, @madadric.
Welcome! Glad you’re here
Late to the party, but welcome @GeorgMir! I’ve definitely read your stuff before. I’ll have to reacquaint myself!
Be well!

(I’m hoping this is the official introductions thread - if not, I’ll happily shift this to wherever it’s most appropriate!)
Hello! I’m Felix (He/Him), and up until recently I was a travelling English teacher originally from the UK, though I don’t really spend much time there any more.
When the world turned upside down I ended up losing my job and being stuck abroad for six months longer than I expected, so I revived a project I’d worked on sporadically for a few years before. With a lot of spare time on my hands I polished it into a genuinely playable state, and The Wildsea TTRPG was picked up by a publisher last week. I don’t know if that makes me a game designer - I’m definitely operating at a loss rather than a profit - but it has done a little to quell the feeling of being an impostor on the edges of the design space.
I’m happy to link the game if anybody wants to take a look, we just released our second official playtest in the run-up to Kickstarter and it’s been received really well so far, I think. My life has changed dramatically over the past week because of it, and part of the reason I’m here is to (hopefully) reconnect to that love of game design that had me working on it in the first place - with all the contracts, publishing back-and-forth, financials and art co-ordination, I’ve barely had a chance to open up the core document.
I’m looking forward to learning something here in my downtime, and hopefully I can contribute something positive as well.
Lovely to meet you all.
-Felix
Welcome and congrats on finishing your new game and contract! Your adaptability is remarkable!
Hello,
I’m Rich (He/Him). I live in Virginia, right outside of Washington, DC. I came here after listening to the Fear of a Black Dragon podcast. I have been working my way through that catalogue while doing my COVID sanity walks every day. I decided I wanted to get more involved with this community after I listened to the episode on Carapace. Something about the hex flower idea really fired my imagination.
I have been playing since the '80s. I started with game books. When we ran out of Tolkien Quest books, we made our own (no doubt terrible) stories using the rules. Eventually, an older kid took pity on us and explained that D&D exists. My parents promptly forbade me from playing it, but allowed MERP. Eventually, they relented and my D&D years began. They never really stopped. I have played continuously since then. Very few weeks have gone by where I did not play a RPG in all those years.
When it comes to poking fantasy creatures with pointy objects, I prefer old school games, but I enjoy story games as well. I am currently very excited about Brindlewood Bay. In fact, it was another thing that drew me to this community. I currently run weekly Empire of the Petal Throne (Tekumel), MERP, and Stars Without Numbers games.
Welcome to all the new folks here! Love that veterans are offering welcome, but please save this thread for just introductions. If you want to offer welcome, I suggest sending a friendly DM.
