Trophy Gold First Reading

@jasoncordova- That series has answered all of my questions so far. One new question though. Do you have any advice on how to run Trophy Gold in a PbForum format? The Hunt roll works great, but the Risk roll is trouble. It is hard to get other players to give answers for Devils bargains, which is a key part of the game so I am a little stuck there.

Also, who rolls the dice in the combat? In person, it doesn’t seem like it matters who rolls for combat because it is a group action. In PbF though, that can mean a 2 day delay while everyone decides who is in and out and who rolls. Any suggestions are welcome.

I actually don’t have any thoughts there, tbh. I tried PbP once and it was decidedly not my thing (although I totally understand why others enjoy it). I can def see the difficulties, though: Trophy is such a collaborative game, and that conversation would be pretty slow in a PbP format.

I only play certain stripped down games by forum. The more rules, the more the game bogs down. That’s why I picked up Trophy Gold and refuse to ever play mechanically heavy games by forum. Most of this game works very well by forum.
