We’ve been using the dice roller a bit now for games. The remaining real annoyance is that if someone has rolled a die, another player can’t roll it until the first player has selected another die.
I know that you’re aware of this issue. But considering the state of the roller when we first started using it, we’ve seen huge improvements.
Thanks! It is now a cornerstone for our online play.
What kind of support does your table need from online dice-roller / VTT?
Hi. Is there a current link to the die roller…
Alright, well I think I’ve detangled that bit of code now. You can now dismiss other players’ selection boxes by clicking on them.
Hey, nice addition ! Now I can add (square) tokens (pictures from game-icons.net) and have them counted in a tray, like so :
Another thing I forgot to mention, I’ve also added an (experimental) feature for some snap-to “mats”. Right now there’s a Chessboard and some Grid Paper.
I’m still playing around how “mats” should work, conceptually, so there might be big changes, or I might scrap the feature and start over.
Find it under Other->Mats
Lovely!
I wonder, have you considered changing the selection (click-and-drag) parameters? Selecting the central point would be much easier and more intuitive to use, I feel (since most GUIs work this way).
Yes definitely. It’s on the list, near the top!
“give them your hand, they take your arm away” goes the french saying : I have a new feature request.
For asynchronous play (PbF or PbM) I’ve seen on “Roll for your party” a counter that states the number of operations on the page. That certifies the roll you present has not been engineered. Personally, I don’t need the feature because I play in a trust environment. But it could bring trust where it is needed.
Oh, sorry ! I see you did more than that with the ACTIVITY LOG ! Brilliant.
Some strangeness there, however : the log reveals that every dice rolled is in fact being rolled twice. I can live with it.
