The Apocalypse is coming, and humanity is desperate. We need monsters to defeat monsters. We are those monsters.
To unlock the Doors to the Apocalypse, we must gather enough Keys: of knowledge, wisdom, secrets.
This is a story of mystery, found family, of monsters that are heroes.
NOTE: Please only sign up if you’re interested in playtesting!
I would prefer if participants could attend both sessions if possible. You must RSVP to each session you wish to attend. Our first session will focus on character/setting creation, with some initial roleplay.
This session is scheduled for 3 hours. I will email everyone a week ahead to confirm attendance. Sessions will be recorded through Zoom for reference, but only released for public consumption if all players consent.
Apocalypse Keys is a Powered by the Apocalypse game, inspired by the mechanics of Libreté, Changeling: The Lost Pbta, Hearts of Wulin, and Brindlewood Bay. Gain tokens of Darkness by giving into your monstrous nature, but make sure the Darkness doesn’t get too close…
Touchstones: Mostly Hellboy (both the comics and movies), touched of Supernatural (the tv series) and Hellsing (the anime).
Content Warning : This is a game that focuses on horror, the supernatural, and emotional relationships.
Safety tools : We will be using script change, lines and veils, and an open door policy. We can change these tools to whatever suits the table best. This game follows The Gauntlet’s Inclusivity Policy.
