With all the abbreviations floating around it might be useful to have support for abbreviation explanation tooltips—especially for new users. Kind of like the list in the Gauntlet Jargon document.

I know this can be done by manually using the <abbr> tag but I saw that there’s a relevant discourse plugin which makes it more user-friendly. I’m not sure about the quality of the plugin and how you feel about installing plugins, but I thought I would throw the idea over your way
