The Gauntleteer is missing!
Normally, the occult heroes of Coven Prime don’t mix with the ‘Masks’, New Gauntlet City’s community of costumed vigilantes and government types. But this is different. The Gauntleteer is special, and their disappearance has set off a chain of events that will have repercussions that affect all of time and space, including the worlds of magic and the occult.
So that means it’s time to step out of the shadows, and into the bright lights of New Gauntlet City to solve the mystery of what happened to The Gauntleteer, even if it means mixing with the Capes. Sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures.
This is a 5-issue limited series of Urban Shadows set in New Gauntlet City in the Year 2000. We’ll use the established Coven Prime setting to tell a story of occult heroes forced out of the shadows to solve a mystery. We’ll use a streamlined version of the usual setup procedure to generate some likely suspects and competing factions taking advantage of the chaos, and go from there. Characters, settings, and situations form the 3 previous runs of Coven Prime will appear, and any player is free to use a PC they’ve played before, flesh out an existing support character to play, or create a new hero from scratch. As part of the Gauntlet Comics summer crossover event, our story will be part of the big picture that emerges from other games in June!
We’ll use the X-Card, Lines & Veils, and Open Door to help us have a weird and hopefully Vertigo Comics-inspired good time. Sessions will be recorded for reference, and posted to YouTube if all players consent afterwards.
