“Even in a city of heroes, it takes a special sort of individual to fight back the things that go bump in the night. Renegade cops who washed out of Precinct 13. Quixotic would-be revivers of destroyed mystic legacies. Snooping reporters who just can’t leave well enough alone, even if it gets them killed. Yeah. That kind of special individual. Good luck, New Gauntlet City.”

We’ll be playing Sunset Kills by Jesse Ross, a streamlined PbtA game of modern-day monster-hunting, in the Gauntlet Comics continuity on two Wednesdays in November.

Sessions will run three hours. They will be recorded and posted on YouTube (if all players agree). Being able to attend each session is ideal, but not required. You must RSVP to each session you wish to attend. A slot in the first session is reserved for Rich Rogers. (Note that the second session is American Thanksgiving Eve and plan accordingly.)

Aiming for a story of spooky monsters and spunky hunters, not outright horror. Expect slaying, sass, and scares commensurate with episodes of Buffy or Supernatural. The X-Card, Open Door Policy, and Lines and Veils will be in use. This event abides by the Gauntlet Inclusivity Policy.

Gauntlet Comics—Sunset Kills: Break the Darkness
Even in a city of heroes, it takes a special sort of individual to fight back the things that go bump in the night. Meet Damario the brooding Chosen (@daroross), Zoe the foolhardy Snoop (@Eli_Seitz), Milo the comics aficionado Occultist (Robert Angus), and Heathcliff the Monstrous cat shapeshifter (@Ferret)—can this ragtag team defend Chantsville from demons, strange nocturnal park rituals, and—something called the Twilight Orchestra?

An actual play of Sunset Kills, by @jesseross, set in the Gauntlet Comics continuity.

The band of messy monster-hunters in Chantsville discuss whether to JUST SAY NO to demon drugs, battle hellhounds at a gala, and confront the menace of a diabolical cello at a performance of the Twilight Symphony.
