Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (2 Saturdays in February)

Explore the ambivalence between the ideals of a samurai warrior and the code’s corruption in the hands of criminals and, more generally the conflict between one’s personal desires and one’s code of honour.

Is the hit man living a lie? How far can this justification be stretched? Will the path ultimately lead to self-destruction?

Based on the critically acclaimed Jim Jarmusch film Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai, this game was primarily designed for play with 1 GM/1 PC, but we’ll be using the optional rules to bring in a second PC.

With a second character we may explore the relationship between a killer and a cop trying to catch them (like in John Woo’s The Killer), or betrayal inside a criminal organisation (as in Infernal Affairs/The Departed), or even a love that makes continuing impossible (as explored in La Femme Nikita). Regardless, our focus will be on a lone honourable killer in a world that has forgotten or abandoned those values.

I am saving a seat for Puckett.
