Heart: the Price of Power (Playtest)

You will be required to read material from the core rulebook. If you do not have time, cannot make time or will not make time to read this material before your first session, please do not sign up for any sessions.

The delvers are hired to buy an item from the infamous, unstable Red Market - where mad feudal serfs howl the financial transactions of their masters into the darkness like prayers, where bejeweled Incarnadine priests take swathes of territory with a wave of one ringed hand, where the streets of shifting crimson cloth lit by swinging lanterns crawl and rearrange themselves before your very eyes. But the item is powerful, and has its own desires; do the delvers have more to gain through betrayal than loyalty?

This is a playtest of Grant Howitt & Christopher Taylor’s game Heart, which takes place in the same setting as Spire, except in the reality-warping/breaking, labyrinthine, fractal landscape of the Heart. You take up the role of a desperate delver eking out an existence for who knows why. The sessions will be streamed on YouTube Live and recorded for Gauntlet Hangouts. Being able to attend each session is ideal, but not required. You must sign up for each session you wish to attend.

Safety Tools: We will use Script Change and Lines and Veils during our sessions. We will observe the Gauntlet Inclusivity Policy.

I hope this is going well! Will the videos be available to watch when you’re all done?

Yes! Google deprecated broadcasting straight from Hangouts, so the videos are currently a mess! Eventually they’ll be curated into a playlist on my channel and the Gauntlet’s and I’ll post again here when that comes together

I look forward to giving it a watch when it’s all finished up!

Have you written anywhere about running it? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts
