OSR Recommends - GMs Day Sale on DTRPG

So I asked this on Twitter but only got a few responses:

I’m looking to round out a collection of TSR-era modules for D&D B/X (and Rules Cyclopedia) and AD&D 1 and 2. Any recommendations? (Bonus points for pointing me in the right direction with Ravenloft.)

I’ve heard White Plume Mountain is a solid fun house dungeon.

Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth is pretty bonkers mega-ish dungeon and a favorite of mine from back in the day. It’s one of those modules that comes with an extra book of player-facing art!

If you can find it anywhere any more, Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun is also pretty weird, and ends with your party maybe letting a terrifying dead god back into the world for… reasons? I forget.

Here are a few of my favorites (that haven’t been mentioned yet):

  • Dark Tower
  • The Caverns of Thracia
  • B4: The Lost City
  • SJA1: Wildspace (maybe the most gonzo Spelljammer adventure ever)
  • Glory Hole Dwarven Mine (no, truly – funny title aside, this is a solid adventure)

I’ve got the first few and almost bought GHDM (not because of the title, but saw it got really good reviews a few years ago), but pulled it out of the cart in favor of some Von Richten’s guides a friend recommended.

I did end up picking up the DA series, parts of the UK series I didn’t own yet, and a Jaquays adventure I’d not heard of: “Hellpits of the Nightfang.” I think I’ve got SJA1 somewhere, and will have to check it out. I’d loved the SJ setting, but the adventures I’d looked at had felt a little “meh” (though I hadn’t given that one a chance).
