RPG Zines Recommendations

What are the best RPG zines out there? I’m particularly interested in ones with open submissions, such that early-career designers (like me) can throw their hat into the ring to publish modules, supplements, microgames, etc.

I’m familiar with (and a fan of) Codex, but I’d love to know what else is out there!

I’ve checked out a few different rpg zines but the only one I’ve consistently engaged with has been Wormskin, because I really enjoy the Dolmenwood setting.

I backed a couple of different projects in the recent Zine Quest Kickstarter campaign but I found it all quite overwhelming so I look forward to checking some of that stuff out properly once they’re available.

I think that @Frasersimons compiled a pretty comprehensive and helpful list of those Zine Quest projects on Twitter.

There are several popular OSR zones that produce intermittently. James M from Grogrardia published The Excellent Travelling Volume about Tekumel, and a sci-fi zine called Imperio. Daniel Sell makes the Undercroft, which started as an LotFP zine (I think) before moving on to weirder pastures. Clint Krause makes Vacant Ritual Assembly, another LotFP zine. There are several DCC RPG zines: Crawl, Metal Gods, Phantasmagoria, etc.

ZineQuest happened on Kickstarter recently and I compiled a list of ones I liked on twitter.

As I’m part of the organizing team I can wholeheartedly recommend the German language story game Zine Erzählspiel-Zine which @tina and @thorsten run:
