What RPG gaming goals do you have for 2019?

There are so many awesome games and events to look forward to. In no particular order here are somethings I want to do:

  • Run and play in more games from Codex.
  • Conclude my face to face DW campaign.
  • Go through my physical RPG books, and redistribute some books to folks. Hopefully netting more total sparked joy.
  • Get a meta level intro game run for The Gauntlet… inspired by Strange Gravity (might just be a light hack of it) with @shane and MXH.
  • Make sure Gauntlet Games Now runs at least once a month

  1. Start running games for the Gauntlet. (I think I can get this happening this summer)

  2. Publish at least one volume of my eternally “in progress” Dungeon World Zine.

  3. Get involved more in play testing new games. I already do, but I want to be known as a good player to play test with.

  1. I’ve got a few games going, on Twitch, I’m excited about.
  2. I’d love for my IRL group to get more steady.
  3. Try out some new games.
  4. Get my Slings & Arrows game playtested more and put together in 2019.

@Mikel_Matthews I really want to play that Slings and Arrows game again, especially after the feedback session we had post-game. Can’t wait to see what you have now.

Goals for 2019:

  • Play with 2 new-to-me GMs each month
  • Play at least 1 new-to-me system each month
  • Play-test something new by a fellow Guantleteer every month
  • Remember to un-mute myself before I get half-way through my description

I want to get some in person gaming into my life, recently I’ve been playing almost entirely online. Lots of individual games I want to play. Also, GM more. I recently ran my first game in about 15 years, and it was great. I need to shake more dust off and get back into GMing.

My goal for the year is to GM more. I’d like to GM one session per week.

Man, actually doing something with this Animorphs Blades/Night Witches/Monsterhearts hack I’m been thinking about for a year. The sheer amount of work I’m expecting it to be is a bit intimidating, but even now I’m super excited just for the fact that, at the end of it, I’ll be able to play a game I really wish existed already.

  1. Run more games. That’s it so far, I think, just trying to grind some GM skills.

I was going to say run more games, but it’s really “Run more games, and don’t suck at it,” which is more of a challenge!

I want to finish my project (the Changeling thing, mostly), then I’d like to run or play my projects.

Also, I want to translate more stuff without stressing myself.

And I’d like to find the perfect balance between “playing too much” and “playing not enough”.

This is a great group to find a design partner. (Dating myself) I read Animorphs to my kids. They were wicked creepy, but solid.
