I ask these two solemn question of you all, though it be uncouth within the mysterious hallowed halls of indie games…

  1. You’re rolling a Dungeons & Dragons character that is literally you. You get to assign stats: 15,14,13,12,10, 8. What are your stats?

Mine:
STR: 8
DEX: 13
CON: 10
INT: 14
WIS: 12
CHAR: 15

  1. While we’re at it, what was your clan when you played Vampire: The Masquerade in the 90s??? Late Gen Xers and early Millennials in indie games, you know I see you!

I was obviously Malkavian.

These stats are a little inflated… let’s say these are me on an exceptionally good day:

STR: 8
DEX: 10
CON: 15
INT: 13
WIS: 12
CHAR: 14

Clan: Tremere.

Those stat numbers were way too generous for me, but I rated them at least as far as that series allows. My highest stat would be 13 at best.

I never played Vampire, as it wasn’t my deal, but I was into Changeling: The Dreaming. Played trolls, redcaps, sluagh, and knockers.

hmm… Str 8. Dex 15. Con 10. Int 12. Wis 14, Cha 13. - Probably Druid. Not buff enough for Ranger.

Vampire Clan - going to say Nosferatu. I can keep very still and watch something for ages and i’ve never been popular, seems Nosferatu.

I never once played VtM, but I did play Mage: The Ascension a handful of times.

Fun fact I’ve only played D&D once, as a teenager, on a convention fifteen years ago, I had my character sheet filled for me by the GM, so I don’t know what I’m doing, but I guess

CHAR: 12

But all in all I’m here to say Ravnos for life. I legit decided that I don’t want to play Bloodlines if there’s no Ravnos in this game (and as it is I am playing it for the first time now, in the year of our Lord 2019).

I have some terrible, terrible news that you’ve already discovered. But choose Malkavian anyway.

I did. And the dialogue options are almost good enough to forgive the lack of the Ravnos :wink:
Also, the urge of running a Masquerade game in the spirit of the late nineties/early two-thousands is STRONG.

'90s/2000s me played a Ventrue who fed on criminals but did not kill them.

My Vampire clan was A Champions Campaign That Lasted Like 10 Years because I wasn’t nearly cool enough to play Vampire.
